The S-5 Civil Affairs Staff Section is the public face of the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. Public videos, pictures, and screenshots are produced by S-5 Combat Cameramen and Civil Affairs Specialists. By no means a light task, Civil Affairs is responsible for ensuring the Regiment's public image and presence within the community is positive displays the professionalism and efficiency expected of the unit's members. Besides acting as the public face of the unit also is tasked with maintaining the unit's record of operations including cataloguing operation recordings and unit events.
Mission
S-5 Civil Affairs is responsible for taking screenshots in game, making promotional media, and logging/tracking content creators within the battalion. Rangers that create content out of S-5 are expected to ensure that their work is logged by S-5 and are stored in the repository. S-5 act as unit historians and ensures that the living breathing community is shown to the outside in it's brightest appearance. S-5 works hand-in-hand with S-1 Recruitment to ensure that a steady flow of interested and eager applicants are enthused by the promotional material and atmosphere of the unit is opened to the wider community to ensure that enthusiasm is capitalized upon to ensure retention and interest remains high.

Staff Section Positions
S-5 Civil Affairs is structured with specific positions that include community and public outreach, and media creation.
S-5 Civil Affairs Officer (2LT)
The S-5 Civil Affairs Officer is in charge of overseeing the entirety of the S-5 Section. All S-5 personnel report to him, and he reports directly to Battalion HQ. He is responsible for ensuring that all his subordinate S-5 personnel have everything they need logistically to complete their support functions. This position is held usually by a Second Lieutenant or higher.
S-5 Civil Affairs Chief (SGT)
The Civil Affairs Chief is responsible for assisting the Civil Affairs Officer with his duties. He is also responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the S-5 Section. This position is held usually by a Sergeant or higher. The Chief ensures that Civil Affairs Specialists are adequately prepared and organized to produce promotional content for the unit.
S-5 Civil Affairs Specialist (PFC)
Civil Affairs Specialists are responsible for recruitment and community outreach to bring in new members. Duties would include promoting recruitment posts, and speaking with potential recruits. Specialists can be for soldiers who produce videos, screenshots and other media for the purpose of recruitment. This position is held usually by a Private First Class or higher.
