The 2nd Ranger Battalion utilizes a formal application on our website. The application covers the basics of a potential recruit's personal information and their suitability for the unit. The application also ensures the expectations for the unit and conduct within is aptly conveyed including the military simulation and realism aspects that are the standard for the 2nd Ranger Battalion.

Personal Information
Name To establish an applicant's name for the registry and unit functions.
Email To connect their website profile and identity to an email.
Timezone To establish an applicants timezone and how it correlates to our EST operation times.
Country To understand an applicants country of origin and possible connection with the English language.
Date of Birth To establish an applicants age and their adherence to the 18+ policy.
Link to your Steam Community Profile To connect a steam profile to the applicant's name.
SteamID64 To verify that steam profile.
DiscordTag#0000 To verify an applicant's discord identity and connect it with their name.
Unit Information
Do you have a working microphone? To verify that an applicant can communicate through voice chat.
Do you have a legal copy of ArmA III? To verify that an applicant can utilize their copy of ArmA III.
Preferred Military Occupation Specialty? To establish the applicant's preferred role within the unit on entry.
What are your reasons for wanting to enlist with the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment? To establish the applicant's reasoning for joining the 2nd RB.
Have you been a part of a military simulation unit on ArmA before? To establish an applicant's experience with ArmA III.
Do you understand this is a serious unit? To establish and ensure an applicant understands the expectations imposed upon them for seriousness and realism.
I understand this is an American unit operating on North American Time Zones. To ensure an applicant is capable of meeting and working around the North American Time Zones.

Application Statuses

There are various responses that an S-1 Recruit Processor may officially label an application due to various circumstances.

Application Response Author's Intent
Pending.png
The application is pending, typically waiting for an applicant to join the unit TeamSpeak and perform an interview.
Accepted.png
An applicant completed an interview and their application is accepted. They are indcuted into the unit as a Recruit and enter the training platoon.
Denied.png
For whatever reason the application is denied. The applicant is not inducted into the training platoon.
Dropped.png
The application is dropped. The applicant has not responded or maintained communication for an extended period of time.
Withdrawn.png
The application is withdrawn, an applicant requested for their application to be withdrawn.

2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment Recruitment Interview Checklist

  • Have you submitted an application on our website?
  • Have you joined our Steam Community group?
  • Have you joined our Discord and set your name to the service name you have chosen?
  • Have you joined our ArmA III Units page and linked/enabled it in the ArmA III Launcher?
  • Have you downloaded our Mod List/Collection?
  • Have you setup the Task Force Arrowhead Radio plugin for TeamSpeak?
  • Give them tags for TeamSpeak and the Discord.
  • Show them the calendar and where to find dates for training.
  • Explain PERSCOM in detail and show them where and how to ‘Report In’.
  • Explain our 75% attendance policy.
  • Answer any questions they have about the unit.
